All our birds now receive Böd Ayre Products

My partner Dawn and I have now been breeding Gouldian Finches for many years.

Unlike many breeders ALL our parent birds rear their own chicks as we firmly believe in the 'natural' approach when it comes to breeding birds. We never use foster parents for any of our eggs or chicks.

Over the years we have had mixed results with breeding - some years have been moderately successful whereas others have been fairly less so.

Just prior to this current breeding season we discovered a remarkable natural product from Böd Ayre Products based in the UK called 'Liquid Seaweed Extract Feed Supplement'. This supplement provides birds with a natural source of seaweed which is proven to be beneficial for ALL cage and Aviary birds. It is also know to 'aid with fertility' when fed to animals and we believe the same applies to birds as prior to using this ourselves we always expected a certain number of eggs from our birds to be infertile - however to date, so far this year, our birds have laid over 50 eggs and ALL have been fertile!

Although we still have many pairs yet to breed this year we are in no doubt at all that this current breeding season is proving to be our most successful one ever (and we have over 45 years experience with breeding birds).

We attribute a large proportion of our success to the fact that all our birds now receive Böd Ayre Products Liquid Seaweed Extract as part of their regular diet and strongly recommend this product to all bird keepers. Barry and Dawn's website

Elements highly available

We use the Seaweed Meal as the main mineral for our 150 sucklers, 600 ewes and 5 sows because of the large range of trace elements in a highly available and balanced plant form. New Holland organic farm website.

Finches Feathers are Pushing Through

The finches we bought the seaweed extract for have improved greatly.  They are no longer bald but have spikey heads as the feathers are pushing through now.  The initial dosage didn't seem to be helping so we increased the amount they got in their water, that did the trick!  We will decrease the amount when they are fully feathered but keep giving it to them to avoid the deficiency happening again.  Many thanks for your help and time.

Good Lambing

We found that more of our ewes lambed by themselves and the lambs were healthier and also the lambs enjoy it.  It's a good product with a great team. (March 2010)

Horse finds feed supplements favourable

I have been feeding my old horse seaweed for a few years now as part of his daily diet.

I used to feed a well known mineral supplement which was chelated (absorbed more easily into the system and not straight through and out of the other end) but one day by chance the feed merchant had run out so I was reading all the other products to see if any others were suitable when I had a chance conversation with a Blacksmith - who happened to have a 25kg bag of seaweed in his car boot. I purchased the bag from him for less than double what I would pay for the tub of the mineral supplement.

I searched the Internet for a supplier of 25kg bags of organic seaweed as the Equine industry brand was expensive at £7.00 plus for 2kg. I found Böd Ayre Products in Shetland. A few Emails later and my bag of seaweed arrived from Shetland.

I have fed this to my horse in the same quantity as with the Equine branded seaweed and he is eating as normal. The service was good and I saved over £47.00 including delivery charges in my calculations. When looking at the product I see no difference.

Horses Have Increased Energy Levels and Condition With Bod Ayre's Seaweed

I work professionally with herbs and essential oils with all species using self-selection (zoopharmacognosy) where animals self-select natural substances to rebalance themselves both physically and emotionally. I have found the Bod Ayre Organic seaweed to be the most popular seaweed by far, being consistently selected above Kelp and bladderwrack and other seaweeds by horses, dogs and chickens. All customers offering this product to their horses have reported increased energy levels and condition.  It also seems exceptionally popular with chickens! I would highly recommend this product to all animals owners.  (July 2010)

Lambing was the easiest

Böd Ayre Products Seaweed Meal

I was feeding Böd Ayre Products Seaweed Meal as a supplement to my breeding stock prior to lambing. This year my lambing was the easiest I have had.

I put the remaining Seaweed around my cabbages and was amazed at the growth of them. I am going to spray Böd Ayre Liquid Seaweed Extract on to my farm land.

Nutritive Value of Seaweed

We have been using Bod Ayre products for a couple of years now from livestock lick buckets to dried seaweed as a soil conditioner and plant feed.

We grow our vegetables and raise our livestock as organically as possible and believe in the nutritive value of seaweed.

Bod Ayre seaweed makes it easy to be able to do so. The quality of the products and the quality of customer service is consistently excellent.
