I have been feeding my old horse seaweed for a few years now as part of his daily diet. I used to feed a well known mineral supplement which was chelated (absorbed more easily into the system and not straight through and out of the other end) but one day by chance the feed merchant had run out so I was reading all the other products to see if any others were suitable when I had a chance conversation with a Blacksmith - who happened to have a 25kg bag of seaweed in his car boot. I purchased the bag from him for less than double what I would pay for the tub of the mineral supplement.

I searched the Internet for a supplier of 25kg bags of organic seaweed as the Equine industry brand was expensive at £7.00 plus for 2kg.

I found Böd Ayre Products in Shetland. A few Emails later and my bag of seaweed arrived from Shetland. I have fed this to my horse in the same quantity as with the Equine branded seaweed and he is eating as normal. The service was good and I saved over £47.00 including delivery charges in my calculations. When looking at the product I see no difference.
